Welcome to Parlor to Patio (“Parlor to Patio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated at parlortopatio.com (the “Site”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site, including all articles, images, videos, comments, newsletters, and other materials we make available (collectively, the “Content”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Who We Are and What We Do

The Site publishes evergreen informational and entertainment content about decorating, remodeling, home staging, furnishing, and related ideas for interiors and exteriors of private homes and apartments, as well as yards, patios, garages, balconies, and similar spaces. Content may include written articles, photographs, illustrations, and video of renovations, makeovers, and updates.

Nothing on the Site is professional advice. Content is for general information and entertainment only. It is not a substitute for licensed design, construction, electrical, plumbing, structural, landscaping, legal, insurance, or other professional services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Informational Nature; No Reliance

Content may be incomplete, outdated, simplified, stylized, or inaccurate. Methods, products, costs, codes, and results vary by location, climate, building type, materials, skill, and many other factors.

You agree that:

  • You will not treat Content as instructions you must follow.
  • You will independently verify all information before acting.
  • You will obtain all required permits, inspections, licenses, and insurance.
  • You will comply with all applicable laws, building codes, HOA rules, and manufacturer instructions.
  • You will not attempt work you are not trained, licensed, and equipped to perform.

We do not warrant that any project shown can or should be reproduced in your home.

4. Safety Warning

Home improvement, renovation, decorating, staging, and outdoor work can cause serious injury, death, fire, electrical shock, structural failure, water damage, mold, toxic exposure, property damage, and other harm.

Tools, ladders, chemicals, paint, solvents, adhesives, power equipment, electrical systems, gas, plumbing, roofs, heights, demolition, and load-bearing work are inherently dangerous. Videos and photos may omit steps, personal protective equipment, or warnings.

Do not attempt any activity shown or described unless you have the knowledge, skills, training, permits, and equipment to do it safely. If you are unsure, hire licensed professionals. We strongly recommend that you leave construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, roofing, and similar work to qualified contractors.

You assume all risk of injury to yourself and others, and all risk of damage to property, arising from any use of or reliance on the Site or Content.

5. No Professional Relationship

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive termination.
